From September 8 to October 8, 2009, I'll be jetting around the country with my JetBlue All-You-Can-Jet pass, cycling & racing, and, from a marketing perspective, focusing on figuring twitter out. I'd like to interview you about your Twitter experiences!

Like the hype, lack of profitability and limited understanding of online shopping in its early stages that attracted my curiosity, and moved me to explore and study it through my Internet Shopping 24/7 Project, where I set out to do all of my shopping online for one year (see Inc. Magazine’s Netty Professor article), the hype, lack of profitability and limited understanding about the current rendition of Twitter has aroused my curiosity about it.

Oprah has blessed it, and millions of people and organizations are using it. However, some see it as a fad (e.g., technology and computing maven John Dvorak suggests that it could become known as the next CB-radio), and, Twitter’s total revenue since opening its doors, as far as I know, is in the vicinity of $0, give or take $1.50. I love it!!

In concert with some other research activities, I am going to fly around the country through October 8, 2009, using my JetBlue All-You-Can-Jet pass, interviewing a variety of folks and organizations who are using Twitter. My objectives are to develop a clearer theoretical understanding of Twitter, including its benefits, limitations and distinctiveness, and to develop applied guidance for organizations and consumers on using it effectively and profitably.

If JetBlue flies to your neck of the woods and you would like to discuss and understand more about your twitter use, Follow me on Twitter, Drop me an email or give me a ring at 781-891-2276 and let's see if we can connect and find a time to arrange an interview visit.
